LOVE the shoes and the socks!! I think men's traditional clothes are so classy. It is incredibly hard to find women's clothes like that. Brooks Brothes of course. However, I've noticed Talbot's is going back to very traditional and classic. Kathie
Dear Anon october 13, Anderson& Shepherd, Savile Row, London made my grandfather's evening tails in 1946 to the same pattern they used for his forebear in 1846 and are indoubtably still using today in 2008... so i'm not sure what 'tradition' in men's clothing really means?? ps tails still going strong and being worn by my god father in Venice...
Surely, sockless would be more trad, especially near the water .... Also, as a Yank who has lived in London for the past 17+ yrs, I do not recall ever having seen a Brit in argyle socks (not that it matters). I have many happy memories of the Cod, though, some dating back to 1985. Aloysius is right; an update is warranted.
