Southwick Suit and Alden Tassel Loafers

This morning I met with a local chap to discuss the market. He makes infrequent appearances on CNBC. In the rare candid photo (above), I am wearing a two-button, undarted navy flannel chalk stripe suit from Southwick and a pair of black Alden tassel loafers.

  1. Great Look. The formal look with a dash of American casual flair. It shouts conservative with confidence, and it can (and has) intimidated many non-Americans during business negotiations!

    P.S.,

Is that the shell cordovan model?

  2. Elegant. Good sock action (again). Wish we could see the shirt and tie but i suppose this isn't The Sartorialist...

  3. LBT,

In my opinion, the socks really make this look work. If you wore navy blue socks, it would not have had the same effect.

    Nice job

  4. Thanks for the kind words, chums.

Matt ~ It's the black calf model. I do have a pair in burgundy cordovan.

  5. Sorry, not about this post: but i'm searching somebody who knows the name of the boots Chatwin brings in his shoulder in a famous picture. Those boots have a name? And a Shoemaker? Anybody knows how to do to have a pair of those?
    thanks

  6. I know everyone is going on about the socks, but I don't like it. Why not something bright?
