  2. Hey, I just lived through the great Raleigh, North Carolina earthquake. Were it not for the media, who pointed out that we had just experienced a "natural disaster" (I'm not kidding), I would not have known about it at all. So, hats off to the media, who let me know that I have the right stuff to survive a natural disaster, never mind what you might have thought.

  3. On Sunday...I drove a friend's son from Philadelphia to Dutchess County NY despite the media hype. He was standed at Phila Airport Saturday night by the storm and needed to get his car and head back to University by this afternoon....Evidence of my disdain for "Weatherchannel" hysterics.

  4. Blame the media industrial complex. The storm was mild, and if anything the power outages are good for you.

  5. As I keep saying, Americans live in a vast fantasy world, one that is largely kept alive by media and entertainment elites.
