While I appreciate Mr Hackett's style and understand that advertising needs to create a somewhat over the top atmosphere, I guess this video also illustrates how quickly "retro" fashion, not only those based on Fogey aesthetics, can cross the line into costume.
Indeed, it is strange to see the clothes I have been wearing all my life suddenly become "fashionable". Still, it is good to see the bow tie return as normal day-wear.
Bravo! Why not let every decade by the 50s?
