Pretty cool advert. I like the straw boater and the 'tennis' sweaters on the crew. From an era when Brooks has a seasonal store in Newport, RI.

I stumbled onto your blog recently, and it's wonderful. I assume from the Anglo undertones that the name is a reference to the old (but still pretty chic) Cod?

I always assumed that Sloanes just faded into the sunset when they grew up - but I suppose that some move to the New World and write sehnsucht-filled blogs, eh?
