One of my two favorite works by Lady Butler. The other being The Defence of Rourke's Drift. Once made a trek from Oxford to Leeds to view this work first hand that reinforced my preference for the south of England over the other regions.
Ah! The Scots Grays charge against Napoleon's Imperial Guards. Part of there cap badge is an eagle based on the Gray's capture of the Imperial Guards Standard during the battle.
Attacke!
