AN ESSAY IN ATTITUDES
Would, but I don't have one. Instead I'm killing my Facebook.
But then what would I do during the dark nights?
I've been experiencing The Young Ones all over again. :D
Cathode tubicide? Yes; four years ago and my only regret is that I didn't do it earlier-about 25 years earlier.
A TV-free evening is a most pleasant one, indeed. Haven't turned mine on since last week. So liberating.
Quite necessary.
I have been without a TV for years on end. I think that a nice compromise is to have a TV and a DVD player but no constant barrage of all the rubbish that is broadcast; then you watch only what you really want to watch. B&P - needle-work?
But then how will you watch Downton Abbey, Admiral?
Wait until Downton Abbey comes out on CDs. Does no one practice delayed gratification anymore? We have Brideshead Revisited (the Jeremy Irons version) on CD and each New Years Day watch the whole thing, with champagne and runny cheese.
