I just noticed that I've met and spoken with my Mercedes Benz mechanic--a solid Austrian chap, family man, and business owner--more times in the last several years than I've met or spoken with my own family members.
But again, the same is true with a few other successful male relatives.
The breakdown of Euro- and Euro-American family and society is something I've experienced first-hand.
Dissolution reigns.
The poolside beckons.
Sadly, when families are together it is often to huddle around their cell phones.

Of course another way to look at it, is if you have spoken to your MB mechanic more than your family, maybe it's time to get an Audi.
ReplyDeleteWAM ~ I go to my MB mechanic maybe 4-5 times a year mostly for an ongoing maintenance issue for which he doesn't bill me. Still, the Audis look nice. Superior German engineering and all that.

ReplyDeleteAudi has it for current models. I have converted much of my garage to their line.
But you have a classic MB that reminds me of my uncle's. And those Nazi sleds are the at the top.
O ~ I'm going to look into the Audi. I've been noticing a lot more of them around town. My MB is showing her age, poor thing, but I'm still attached and not yet ready to trade her in for a younger model.
