Old boy - is that an original picture, or just something from the web? Beautiful shotgun. I like over unders, but that is spectacular.

Compared to a fine double gun, swinging an over/under through an arc is like swinging a 1x12 plank held vertically.

Jacobite, I'm not trying to be a wise guy, but if you are correct, then why does every Olympic shooter I've ever seen use an O/U?

I couldn't care less why International Trap shooters like their doofus looking, thick receiver, dangerous single release trigger, weird-ass adjustable comb, and erector set sighting rib O/Us.

I much prefer 20 gauge sxs upland wing shooting over dogs. It is a true field sport, not some game.

For the simple reason that over-unders perform better and are more intuitive to use. I have both and I like both. Eschewing one form of weapon on purely aesthetic grounds is foreign to me. Unless, of course we're talking Glocks. Those things are just hideous.

I fear our host has slipped out the garden window and left the party. My guess (in increasing order of probability) is that he: 1) is dead, 2) has busted out in the markets and is now working 15 hours a day to recoup, or 3) is now married or something very close to it. Of course one hopes that he is merely taking a sabbatical from the interwebz in order to sail around the world or at least to the South Pacific.

Perhaps he was training for, and now participating in the WC Rugby.

Sir. Your readership here in New Zealand are concerned and mournful over the scarcity of recent postings. Kindly correct for the sake of us antipodean style warriors .
