Important Announcement
In an exclusive report I can now reveal here that after much deliberation I have decided to grow out my eyebrows.
They are already longer and blonder than the hair on my head and have received admiring glances from the ladies.
Progress report to follow.

Brogue Maintenance
Mind your shoes, gentlemen! It is essential, as a strapping chap-about-town, to keep one's brogues in tip-top shape. Fine footwear, like the skin on your manly mug, requires regular care and maintenance. Do not neglect it. The tools for such a task (pictured at port) include cloth, brush, soap, polish, and moisturiser. Not pictured is the young brunette hottie who will actually complete the job for you whilst you sip your cocktail.
In The World, But Not Of It
What I am about to say does not concern the ordinary man of our day. On the contrary, I have in mind the man who finds himself involved in today’s world, even at its most problematic and paroxysimal points; yet he does not belong inwardly to such a world, nor will he give in to it. He feels himself, in essence, as belonging to a different race from that of the overwhelming majority of his contemporaries.

Hackett On Shoes
“My Father once said to me ‘I am too poor to buy cheap shoes’ and taking his advice to heart I now have a closet full of shoes. I have a passion for shoes and probably my favourite are the first pair I had made by George Cleverley about thirty years ago and they are still going strong. They are black punched oxfords. It is well known that women always notice men’s shoes, so if you want to make a good impression…”

Habeler of Everest
Born in Mayrhofen, Austria in 1942, Peter Habeler was a certified mountain guide and skiing instructor by the age of 21. Beginning in the mid-60s he and climbing partner Reinhold Messner assaulted the mountaineering world with an impressive series of climbs. Together they made the first ascent of Yerupaja Chico in South America (1969), and the North face of Eiger in a record 10 hours (1974). Following that was an ascent of Hidden Peak via a new route (1975). In 1978 Peter Habeler and Reinhold Messner made the first ascent of Everest without bottled oxygen.
