I'm not sure he chose the right timing for his last action.

At the time, there was a huge debate over gay marriage in France. A lot of people tried to qualify his act as a protest against gay marriage, either because they never read a single word of his works, either because they didn’t even read his last letter and some were just ill intended, of course.

His action was not about any gay rights issue, it was a far deeper gesture of contempt and rebellion towards modern world.

I kinda disagree with him... if you feel wronged you have to speak up... silence in the face of what you think is unfair is also a type of permission.... it's a dangerous world we live in...
