These, the Bandy novels by Donald Jack (famous Canadian humorist) and the Flashman series are my favorite books.

These, along with the Bandy series by Donald Jack, and the Flashman novels are among the best.

Admiral

I just visited the Herresgeschichtliches Museum (Army Museum) in Vienna this weekend. A very decent collection of Austrian naval history, too, and definitely worth visiting when you are in that beautiful city next time.

Admiral, are you sure you didn't go to an English Prep School? (rather than an American one) Can't think where else you would have cultivated some of your literary tastes...

LBF - I won't ask which one. Would give rise to too many preconceptions and/or shattered illusions.
I mean, what if you said 'Harrow' ?

Harrow's not a prep school, it's a public school. Well, actually, a private school. In fact, probably not a school at all, but group therapy for congenital deviants. The Dragon School, for example, is a prep school, though I don't believe old BLT was there.
