The older I get, the more I love these wool/cotton blends. Funny...the haberdashery that I worked in after school sold viyella but my heavy starched persona didn't see the value in them...or feel the comfort. When I was in London last February I bought a cashmere and cotton blend gingham shirt. The stunning woman who accompanied me urged me to buy a second one. I wish that I had.
And she, the stunner, looked better in the cashmere/cotton than I did.
"In every battle the eyes are the first to be conquered..."
- Tacitus, Germania
"One must work in solitude as a man who opens a clearing in virgin forest, sustained by the unique hope that somewhere in its depths, others are working to the same end. "
