I lived in Athens when the Colonels were in power. It wasn't so bad. (My mail was regularly opened, checked, and then re-sealed in a glassine envelope for delivery, but nothing worse than that.)
And the liberals, who squandered the earnings of the people, created a huge dependent class, buried the country under debt and winked at leftwing lawlessness, have no one to blame but themselves.
"In every battle the eyes are the first to be conquered..."
- Tacitus, Germania
"One must work in solitude as a man who opens a clearing in virgin forest, sustained by the unique hope that somewhere in its depths, others are working to the same end."
- Ernst Jünger
"I find that I must go handsomely, whatever it costs me, and the charge will be made up in the fruit it brings."
