Yes, technically everyone is ethnic, but in an American context, "ethnic" means a member of a minority group.

This is one of several of Mr. Scruton's books that are in my home library. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that he resides not far from me. I also enjoyed his documentary regarding beauty available on YouTube. The Italian scholar Umberto Eco has edited a book titled "History of Beauty".

I once lacked an ethnic nose. A few rugby seasons and boxing matches later and I have moved from Greek to Roman.

Evolution I say!

Thanks for the pointer again. I think that his excplications are important to transport certain, very important truths to the frustrated and both emotionally as well as spiritually impoverished 'serfs' of the modern world.

I read this a few months ago and just rediscovered it whilst doing a spot of dusting today, such a great book.
