This reminds me of a story my grandmother told me: sometime in the spring of 1946, maybe, some members of my family were innocently sitting together in our orchards drinking wine and discussing the issues of life, just as it is customary here, when a few Russian officers (our village was in their occupation 'zone') suddenly got nasty and said: you are celebrating Hitlers birthday! (per chance it was the 20th of April)! My family, my grandmother assured me, had absolutely no clue but was only sitting there by accident, enjoying conversation with their loved ones -and enjoying to be alive at all..

- Tacitus, Germania
"One must work in solitude as a man who opens a clearing in virgin forest, sustained by the unique hope that somewhere in its depths, others are working to the same end."
- Ernst Jünger
"I find that I must go handsomely, whatever it costs me, and the charge will be made up in the fruit it brings."

Looks like an NSDAP poster circa 1933...
