One of my favourite pastimes is to visit the gallery in a quiet afternoon when the gallery rooms are not too crowded and then have a cup of tea and toasted crumpet at the shop at the end of the visit. It's both educational and enjoyable experience.
"In every battle the eyes are the first to be conquered..."
- Tacitus, Germania
"One must work in solitude as a man who opens a clearing in virgin forest, sustained by the unique hope that somewhere in its depths, others are working to the same end."
- Ernst Jünger
"I find that I must go handsomely, whatever it costs me, and the charge will be made up in the fruit it brings."

Mon Amiral,
There are still some parts of Europe where it is possible to find well-dressed Whites visiting galleries.
