Note the shoes of the gents first row, left. Note the blazers of the American skippers behind them. Chris Dickson, seated on the far right in a white top was the deadly match racing skipper of Kiwi Magic... he was often underestimated because he was in his twenties during the challenge. When he starting spinning boats (and heads) during the starting sequence's sparring, even guys like Dennis Conner sat up and noticed.
"In every battle the eyes are the first to be conquered..."
- Tacitus, Germania
"One must work in solitude as a man who opens a clearing in virgin forest, sustained by the unique hope that somewhere in its depths, others are working to the same end."
- Ernst Jünger
"I find that I must go handsomely, whatever it costs me, and the charge will be made up in the fruit it brings."
