Young Fogey Trio

As you know, the climate here in recent weeks has been positively freezing, with some nights actually dipping into the 40s. Arctic conditions require warm gear and naturally I have turned to my meagre collection of cardigans and Fair Isle knitwear. The rare photo (above) depicts the type. For pipe and pint of bitter, one may substitite cigar and whisky. Pensive gaze, optional.

Young Fogey....I like it...hmmm. Anyway, a great photo and enjoy your blast of cold air. It was 16 degrees here last night, and we had a high of 38 today. I have been wrapping up in tweeds and sweaters all winter....I love it!

i LOVE fairisle; but it has to be hand-knitted, preferably prior to WWII. Like the daffodil in that image, suggest replacing it with a parrot tulip for a more esoteric feel...

I feel for you, LBT. At least we have a reprieve today with the Santa Ana's. And, with them, I get to send all of my smog your way. Enjoy, my good man.
