There was a three-legged cat called Bertie
Who awoke every morning at five thirty
To eat a bowl of food
So as not to be rude
He groomed himself 'cause he was quite dirty.
A three legged cat with a black eye patch? Is he your companion on the high seas, Admiral, in place of the more commonplace/trad parrot? How very fitting.
That's not a black eye patch! The Admiral, being the soul of discretion is merely respecting Bertie's privacy and saving him from unwanted celebrity (or somesuch)-worship!
"In every battle the eyes are the first to be conquered..."
- Tacitus, Germania
"One must work in solitude as a man who opens a clearing in virgin forest, sustained by the unique hope that somewhere in its depths, others are working to the same end. "

I'm glad you're in a good mood. :)
As Ben Franklin said,in another context we know, "All cats are gray in the dark!
