I tried to order a couple of neckties today only to be told "UK delivery only." I was surprised but will stop in soon when in London.

Hackett sold out on quality, cut and price well over a decade ago. A tweed jacket I bought in 1987 is still going strong, but the more recent stuff was made for tourists. And they started putting elbow pads on jackets. That said, there have been small recent signs of improvement, at least in cut. Worth keeping an eye on.

classics stay. This pictures is a real proof: Today we still use this type of tie-shirt-jacket combo(at least your readers, dear admiral).

Someone could invest in the clothing featured in that picture and be the most elegantly dressed guy in any room for the rest of his days (though the ties are a tiny bit narrow for me , which is strange for 1970s ties...).
