On Living Well

The life of an Internet Sensation, I am discovering, leaves little room for other, more important things. Interview requests, sponsorship opportunities, and correspondence from fans alone take up almost half the day. I have even been asked to come up with my own line of designer cocktails, which I have been researching in a typically thorough manner. It is most exhausting. My crack PR team has been scrambling to provide coverage. Stress is to be avoided in the interests of peace and quiet. Speaking of which, the image (above) is a local artist's rendition of yours truly lounging by the pool in Vineyard Vines board shorts. Moments of apparent tranquility are in reality when the next big ideas are hatched and incubated. Stay tuned. Living well, as they say, is the best revenge, and it is advice I have long put to practical use, as you can see. So smile, drink up, and keep your eyes on the prize.

Are you enjoying Martin Amis's The Pregnant Widow, Admiral?

I've seen your photograph in at least two gossip rags this week, there is talk of you being the new F Scott. May I enquire as to when the Zelda auditions will be held ?

"Everyday Drinking: The Distilled Kingsley Amis" is something I refer to often in a similar situation.

Why not respond to my enquiry, Admiral?

Hilton ~ My apologies, I thought I had done. Yes, I am. I much prefer The Rachel Papers, however, which I understand is a sort of precursor to TPW.

I also enjoyed The Rachel Papers, Admiral. Thank you, I will acquire TPW. I'm curious as to the depiction of his close friend Christopher Hitchens.

Thank you for the blog. Please keep up the fine work, sir.
