A marvelous book by one of the most marvelous of writers. I am currently reading "Mad World: Evelyn Waugh and the Secrets of Brideshead," and enjoying it.

Admiral, Not sure I'm familiar with this story - you'll have to tell me how it ends.

The other hilarious novel; Jessica Mitford's "American Way of Death"

Bloody marvellous. When I was single it was things like this ( and a great record collection) that made me want to date a man.
So, Tabitha, what was in the 'great record collection'?
I'm hoping not Supertramp, Peter Frampton, Yes, Beatles, Abba etc..
Fatfriend.
